NEET Controversy: Opposition Calls For Education Minister’s Resignation

Congress MP KC Venugopal launched a blistering attack on Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on June 18 over the NEET controversy. Venugopal stated, “The Union Education Minister lacks the moral authority to remain in office. For the past 5 years, he has held the position of Education Minister while the credibility of various exams, including NEET, has been repeatedly questioned. His acknowledgment of ‘some irregularities’ followed by promises to punish officials is insufficient.” Venugopal emphasized the distress of thousands of students and their parents, accusing the government of neglecting their concerns. He pledged to raise the issue prominently in Parliament, demanding a clear response from the government.
