Experts feel Congress has the upper hand in the Dhar Lok Sabha constituency


Dhar Lok Sabha constituency of Madhya Pradesh is a reserved seat for members of Scheduled Tribes community. The constituency comprises seven assembly segments from the district and one from neighbouring Indore. The BJP, which has held the seat since 2014, has dropped its sitting MP, Chattar Singh Darbar, and given the ticket to former MP, Savitri Thakur, who is pitted against tribal leader Radheshyam Muvel of the Congress. The BJP candidate is banking on the goodwill of Prime Minister Modi and the central policies. Women empowerment is another issue being highlighted by her in the constituency, which has a substantial number of female voters.
